The JoongAng Media Network (JMnet) is Korea's leading comprehensive media group. The JMnet tells the stories of the world through
various forms of media, encompassing print, broadcasting, and the Internet, with newspapers serving as our anchor.
The JoongAng Ilbo has blazed its own path to become an exemplary newspaper in Korea through fair
and accurate news reporting. JoongAng Broadcasting includes the Q Channel, which offers non-fiction
documentaries; the History Channel, which traces the footsteps of mankind; and , most recently, J Golf.
On the Internet, Joins.com provides swift, around-the-clock updates on domestic and foreign news. We also
publish magazines such as the Monthly JoongAng, the Economist, Women's Joongang and CeCi,
which help readers expand their knowledge and develop their own sense of style.
The 21st century is an age of information. Information brings power and money.
In such times, the need for information is continuously growing. The emergence of services such as digital multimedia
broadcasting (DMB) and Internet television (IP-TV) reflect the world's craving for new forms of media.
Formats are converging, as newspapers and broadcast media merge with the Internet. We are at the height of what we
could call an information flood, but theat does not necessarily mean that all information is valuable.
Much of it is unnecessary or out of date; some is even false.
The JMnet separates the wheat from the chaff, providing only information that is absolutely necessary or beneficial to its recipients.
Our goal is to provide reports that are fairer and more accurate, at a faster pace.
Up to now, we have been a leader among Korean media. We will continue in that role,
steering the development of Korean media in the information age. In a time when people are
demanding specialized and specific data, while thirsting for globalization, we will strive to meet those needs.
We invited you to the information world of the JMN.
