Editorial Writer Room
There are 18 active editorial writers and columnists on staff in the editorial department. Specializing in politics, society, economy and so on, the staff meet twice a day to discuss content and the direction of the editorials.

News Review Room
Prior to print, pages are meticulously reviewed to check for errors and to ensure that changes do not need to be made. Veracity of information and objectivity of content along with technical and linguistic descriptions are all closely scrutinized. Periodic evaluation of articles is also published.

Newsroom
Over 350 reporters are involved in the newsgathering, article selection and preparation process of the newspaper. Several teams, such as Investigative reporting team, all work to bring together the paper¡¯s 13 sections, including politics, economics and life. IHT - JoongAng Daily
IHT-JoongAng Daily is published by JoongAng Ilbo, which is responsible for its production and domestic marketing. Several tens of reporters including a foreign editor-in-chief and editors translate selected articles and produce original English-language content for JoongAng Daily.

Customer Service Bureau
To ensure speedy delivery for our newspaper subscribers, this department is responsible for the paper¡¯s distribution and delivery. Subscription prices and terms are available through this office.

Advertising Division
With advertising making up nearly half of the newspaper print space, this department is responsible for all outside ads. JoongAng Ilbo strives to obtain quality advertising in order to provide useful information inside each ad. Strategic Planning Office
The Strategic Planning Office is responsible for formulating JoongAng Ilbo¡¯s long-term vision and strategy, along with promoting business cooperation with other companies and public relations.

Institute for Civil Society
Since 1994 JoongAng Ilbo has been committed to promoting volunteer services and NGO activities, and it established the Institute for Civil Society in 2000 for the purpose of building an upgraded and advanced civil society. Institute for Reunification Affairs
Established in 1996 in order to provide realistic solutions towards reunification by way of combining the Reunification Institute and the Modern Society Institute. The institute concentrates on researching both subjective and neutral matters relating to North Korea¡¯s politics, society, military, economy, history and ideology. Media Marketing Research Institute
Established in 1995 as the first institute in Korea to research the domestic Korean newspaper industry, it helps readers and advertisers to understand the public¡¯s needs through surveys and comprehensive market research focusing on political and social issues.

Economic Research Institute
Established in 2001 and the first of its kind among domestic media groups, the institute plays an important role as a think-tank for reinforcing JoongAng Ilbo¡¯s economic section by way of investigative and comprehensive newsgathering. JoongAng Ilbo attempts to break away from traditional newsgathering methods, which have typically depended on information provided by the government.

Design Institute
The institute was formed in 2003 to reflect the changing market trends and needs of the readers.

Information Support Center
The center develops and maintains the CTS system, used by journalists, and JMN¡¯s software. It is also responsible for updating the JoongAng Ilbo¡¯s database.
